North West council appoints Ibrahim as Assistant Director – Legal, Governance and Workforce
Asif Ibrahim is to rejoin Rochdale Council as Assistant Director – Legal, Governance and Workforce, ahead of the retirement of David Wilcock.

Ibrahim has been Head of Legal and Deputy Monitoring Officer at Cheshire East Council since September 2019.
Prior to that he spent five years at Wigan Council, first as a Childcare Solicitor and then as Strategic Lawyer – People.
He was Associate Solictior at Rochdale between February 2009 and October 2014.
Wilcock is retiring from Rochdale at the end of December 2020, after six years as monitoring officer and more than four years as Assistant Director – Legal, Governance and Workforce.
