Group of East Midlands authorities names six chambers for £8.8m child care law panel
A consortium of local authorities in the East Midlands has appointed six sets of barristers' chambers to a framework for the provision of advice and advocacy services in respect of child care legal matters.

The procurement was led by Derbyshire County Council. The other members of the consortium are Nottinghamshire County Council, Derby City Council (pending approval) and Nottingham City Council (pending approval).
The successful sets were:
- Bank House Chambers
- Cornwall Street Barristers
- KCH Garden Square
- Spire Barristers
- St John's Buildings
- St. Mary's Family Law Chambers
The contract is to run from 1 April 2019 for an initial two-year period with options to extend for up to three times one-year periods.
The contract was awarded on the basis of quality, which was given a weighting of 100. There was no weighting for price.
