Former employed barrister in Government Legal Department takes tenancy at Francis Taylor Building
Michael Brendan Brett, who previously practised as an employed barrister in the Government Legal Department, has joined Francis Taylor Building with immediate effect.

The set said his work advising the Department for Transport and Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy “give him a keen sense of the needs of public authorities as well as insight into decision-making processes”.
Called to the Bar in 2017, his recent work includes acting as junior to David Matthias QC in a section 289 challenge on procedural fairness grounds, assisting Charles Streeten in the judicial review of the Mayor of London's decision to grant planning permission for the Kensington Forum development, and successfully appealing a refusal by Kent County Council to make a definitive map modification order.
