Law firm advises on trio of waste and recycling deals worth £400m
The Waste and Resource Management team at law firm Bevan Brittan have advised on the completion of a hat trick of waste, recycling, and environmental services projects.

The three projects, which have a combined value of around £400m, were:
- Norfolk Waste and Environmental Services Project – a £230m joint waste collection, recycling and street cleansing contract between Serco and three local authorities (Breckland Council, North Norfolk District Council and King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council).
- Buckinghamshire Waste and Environmental Services Project - a 10-year contract joint waste collection, recycling and street cleansing contract between Veolia and three local authorities (Chiltern District Council, Wycombe District Council and South Bucks District Council).
- Allerdale Waste Services Limited – a new waste and recycling company created by Allerdale Borough Council for the dedicated delivery of waste management and recycling services in Cumbria. The project includes a 7-year contract between the council and Allerdale Waste Services.
The Waste and Resource Management team at Bevan Brittan advised on contract, commercial and regulatory matters. It includes sector specialists Phil Roberts (Associate), Thomas Graham (Solicitor) and Rory Budworth (Solicitor), as well as Nathan Bradberry (Partner), Olivia Blessington (Senior Associate) and Maxim Laithwaite (Solicitor).
A broader multi-disciplinary team advised on procurement, corporate, property, employment, pension and litigation issues.
