Forestry Commission issues notice on plans to procure £3m in legal services
The Forestry Commission has issued a prior information notice on “a future opportunity” for the provision of legal services worth an estimated £3m.
- Details
It said the requirement would be for the whole of the Forestry Commission, including Forestry England, Forest Services and Forest Research.
The Forestry Commission is the caretaker for over 1,500 forests, caring for more areas of land than any other organisation in England.
The requirement will mostly regard property and estate management of the public forest estate, property leasing, HR matters and public liability claims (traffic and third party).
Advice on commercial (including procurement), corporate and public law may also be required.
It is anticipated that the requirement for legal services will be published in June 2020.
