The largest housing, care and property-management group in Scotland is to procure a legal and associated services framework worth an estimated £3.7m.

Wheatley Housing Group owns or manages more than 93,700 homes, delivering services to over 210,000 people across 19 local authorities in Scotland.

It employs 2,700 people directly and a further 2,000 as joint owners of one of Scotland’s largest repairs and maintenance companies, City Building (Glasgow).

Wheatley says it intends to divide the framework into seven lots covering:

1. Commercial Contracts

2. Legal Governance & Charities

3. Legal Employment & General Civil Litigation

4. Financing

5a. Sheriff Officer Services (Central Scotland Region)

5b. Sheriff Officer Services (Dumfries and Galloway Region)

6. Property Searching & Reporting Services.

The framework will be for a period of 36 months with the option to extend for a further 12 months at the sole discretion of the Wheatley Group.
