Four councils in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire are to set up a panel of solicitor agents to deliver legal services in respect of Children Act 1989 and other child related proceedings.

The four local authorities are:
- Derbyshire County Council
- Nottinghamshire County Council
- Derby City Council
- Nottingham City Council
The contract will run from the date of award for an initial 3-year period with options to extend for up to 2 x 1-year periods. It is worth an estimated £5m.
The contract will be awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 95) and a supplier information security questionnaire (weighting: 5).
