The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) has issued a prior information notice for the re-tender of a national framework for legal services to police forces and Police and Crime Commissioners.

MOPAC said the scope of the National Legal Services Framework Agreement would be to provide legal advice and assistance across the following lots:

  • Lot 1A - Procurement, Contract and Commercial, Governance - complex projects and disputes
  • Lot 1B - Procurement, Contract and Commercial, Governance - business as usual
  • Lot 2 - Civil Litigation and Personal Injury
  • Lot 3 - Employment
  • Lot 4A - Property (including Commercial, Residential Property & PFI) - complex
  • Lot 4B - Property (including Commercial, Residential Property & PFI) - business as usual

The procurement will be undertaken via the restricted procedure, in line with the Public Contract Regulations 2015, and be in place when the current framework expires on 30 April 2025.

The contract notice is expected to be issued on 19 August 2024.
