The North West Legal Consortium has appointed 15 firms to its latest legal services framework, which is estimated to be worth up to £25m.

The contract was scheduled to start on 1 May 2024 and will run until 30 April 2028.

The consortium selected the following firms out of a total of 31 tenders received:

  • Brodies
  • Browne Jacobson
  • Capsticks
  • DAC Beachcroft
  • DWF Law
  • Forbes
  • Freeths
  • Geldards
  • Hill Dickinson
  • Mann Roberts Solicitors
  • MSB Solicitors
  • Muckle
  • Stephensons
  • TLT
  • Weightmans

The contract was split into the following lots:

  1. Civil Litigation, Prosecutions and Regulatory
  2. Property, Planning and Environment
  3. Corporate Governance, Ethical Standards and Information Law
  4. Projects, Procurement, Commercial and Construction
  5. Social Care and Education
  6. Partner Status

The contract award notice does not list which lots each firm has been appointed to.

Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council was the lead contracting authority for the consortium.

The contract was last awarded in 2020 to 14 law firms.

The framework’s estimated value has more than doubled since its creation in 2016 when the value was then estimated to be £10m.
