LLG provides information on arrangements to honour Suki Binjal
LLG has provided details on steps to honour Suki Binjal, a former President who died earlier this month.
- Details
In a statement the membership organisation said: "LLG wish to thank our community for the numerous tributes and condolences expressed on our LinkedIn page and that of others in respect of the sad passing of Suki Binjal.
"We have received many enquiries as to the arrangements, tributes, donations and legacies to honour Suki. We have of course been mindful of the sudden shock with which we all received the news and have been keen to ensure that any steps taken have the full approval of her husband, Paul.
"We have set up a dedicated email box to capture tributes to Suki and condolences to the family which we will collate into a book. We would like to invite you to send these by email to SukiBinjal.Memorial@llg.org.uk
"For those of you who wish to send cards or letters of condolence, please send these to Mr Paul McMahon c/o Lawyers in Local Government, Suite 9, Foundary Lane, Horsham, West Sussex, RH13 5PX
"Whilst you might wish to send flowers, we ask that you do not do so at this time. We are in conversation to establish a suitable way to remember Suki and the invaluable work she did in mentoring and sponsoring the next generation, especially those who faced social barriers. We will have more information on that in due course.
"In terms of arrangements, due to the need for a coroner’s report there are no details as yet in respect of funeral arrangements. However, a memorial service will be planned in early 2025.
"Thank you."
