Education purchasing body to undertake market engagement as it brings legal framework management back in-house

The CPC said that for the past few years, it had outsourced the contract management of the framework agreement “for various reasons, one of which being capacity internally”.
The consortium said: “Due to the fact that this hasn't been contract managed internally for some time, we would like suppliers within the industry to assist us in forming the scope/specification to ensure we are covering what is required for our Members by putting a framework in place that encompasses any new trends or considerations since the agreement was last managed by CPC.”
The new framework is expected to run from 6 January 2026 to 5 January 2029, with a possible extension to 5 January 2030.
The engagement deadline is 11 July 2025. The estimated publication date of the tender notice is 4 August 2025.
In June 2022 CPC appointed eight firms to its current legal services framework, which was estimated to be worth £49m.
