Introduction to FOI Webinar - Act Now

Introduction to FOI Webinar - Act Now

This session focusses on enabling delegates to understand the basics of the FOIA, who it applies to, what a valid FOI request is, and what steps a public authority has to take in response to the request, including time scales, advising and assisting applicants.

It will also look at what information can or cannot be released and will provide delegates with a brief introduction to the FOI exemptions and how to refuse a request.

The webinar will also discuss the differences between FOIA in England, Wales & Northern Ireland, and the law in Scotland.

It is an ideal introduction to FOIA for new employees (on induction) as well as those requiring a basic knowledge of FOI.

All our Course Tutors are experienced information governance professionals who have been training and advising in this field for many years.
