KSA Data Protection Officer Certificate - Act Now

A comprehensive qualification for Data Protection Officers in the KSA

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has enacted its first national data protection law to regulate the processing of personal data. The KSA Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) came into force on 14th September 2023. Organisations now have only 12 months to develop critical policies and procedures to ensure they meet the new law’s stringent corporate duties and can handle the new data subject rights.

The new law requires a fundamental assessment of the way your business handles personal data from collection through to storage, disclosure and destruction. With enhanced rights for individuals and substantial fines for non-compliance you cannot afford to ignore the new requirements.

Act Now’s KSA Data Protection Officer Certificate focuses on the essential knowledge required to successfully navigate the KSA data protection landscape. The course will also help DPOs to develop the skills required to do their job better. These include interpreting the data protection principles in a practical context, drafting privacy notices, undertaking DPIAs and reporting data breaches.

Our teaching style is based on practical and engaging workshops covering theory alongside hands-on application using case studies that equip delegates with knowledge and skills that can be used immediately. The course curriculum has been designed to allow delegates to easily map their personal learning journey to ensure they have the requisite level of knowledge and skills for their role. Alongside comprehensive learning materials, delegates will have personal tutor support throughout the course and access to a comprehensive online resource lab.
