Equalities watchdog updates technical guidance on public sector equality duty in England
The Equality and Human Rights Commission has issued updated its technical guidance on the operation of the public sector equality duty in England, with examples from case law on how public authorities should implement it.

The commission said the new guidance reflected the latest statutes and case law.
“Since 2012, when the first PSED technical guidance was published, a number of changes to statute and case law have taken place,” it said.
"This includes the introduction, by statute, of the gender pay gap reporting requirements on public authorities with more than 250 staff. This guide is to help public bodies better understand their equality duties.”
