The assault took place in May 2023.
According to City of London Police, Lee-Phakoe approached the victim – who cannot be named for legal reasons – and carried out “a series of persistent and unwelcome verbal sexual approaches, including a proposal of a sexual encounter in the bathroom”.
Lee-Phakoe also approached the victim’s side of the table, stood next to her and pinched her bottom with his left hand. The victim stated that Lee-Phakoe pinched her bottom at least ten times.
She described the Labour councillor’s approach as "both violating, aggressive and manipulative in assaulting me in a public place with his wife in the same bar and only a short distance away".
