

DWP to procure replacement £19.5m property legal services contract
The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) has issued an invitation to participate as it looks to procure a replacement property legal services (PLS) contract.

The DWP said the contract would allow its estates teams to continue to access property legal services following the conclusion of the existing PLS2 contract, which is due to expire on 31 January 2026.
The specification provisions for all property legal services to DWP Estates across its whole estate; to include real estate advice, conveyancing, and litigation services related to all property matters.
Legal services are also required for property leases (new, breaks and expiry), landlord consents, acquisitions, and disposals, rent review issues, landlord and tenant issues, dilapidations, licence alterations and general property advice.
The contract is expected to run from 26 January 2026 to 25 January 2031, with a possible extension to 25 January 2033.
The deadline for requests to participate is 9 July 2025,(12:00 pm).
A maximum five suppliers will be invited to submit a final tender.
