Scottish Government calls for input into £10m legal services framework
The Scottish Procurement and Commercial Directorate (SPCD) has issued a prior information notice seeking suppliers views on its plans for a replacement legal services framework for the provision of legal services to the Scottish Central Government sector.
The framework, which has an estimated value of £10m, is set to be divided into the following lots:
1. Contract, Commercial and Corporate Law.
2. Debt Recovery.
3. Litigation, Reparation, Employment and Inquiries.
4. Major Projects.
5. Property and Related Matters.
6. One Stop Shop
The SPCD is the organisation tasked with procuring requirements on behalf of the Scottish public sector bodies.
The current legal services framework is due to expire on 31 July 2019.
The SPCD said: “Work has commenced in developing the procurement strategy options including canvassing of stakeholders views. In order to complete and finalise the strategy, SPCD recognises the value of suppliers having the opportunity to contribute to this process on a non-competitive, non-judgemental basis.
“This request for information is aimed at collating those views from market participants. This information may be utilised in developing the procurement strategy to help deliver contractual arrangements for Legal Services.”
