A group of seven local authorities in Scotland have appointed six law firms to a legal services framework worth an estimated £4m.

The authorities were: Aberdeen City Council; Aberdeenshire Council; The Highland Council; Comhairle nan Eilean Siar; Shetland Islands Council; Orkney Islands Council; and Moray Council.

The framework was divided into the following lots:

  1. Commercial, Regulatory and Dispute Resolution
  2. Pensions and Investments

The successful firms were:

  • Brodies (lots 1, 2).
  • Burness Paull (1, 2).
  • DWF (1).
  • Harper Macleod (1).
  • Morton Fraser (1).
  • Pinsent Masons (2).

The procurement was led by Aberdeen City Council.
