Law firm Bevan Brittan has announced its financial results for 2024-25, achieving revenue and profit growth for the 12th consecutive year.

Revenue rose to £86.7m, with growth achieved across a range of markets including Central & Local Government (up by 20%).

Other areas to see significant increases included Energy & Resource Management (up by 48%) and Independent Health & Care (up by 34%).

Profit was up 3.7% to £19.6m.

During the 12-month period, the Central & Local Government team led on projects including a £119m investment in education and training for Cardiff and Vale College and Welsh Government, and were successful in a High Court appeal for The Ramblers to protect a public right of way.

In Energy & Resource Management, the law firm supported Hackney Council on a solar panel project, and the Crown Commercial Service on its scheme to simplify the procurement of electric vehicle infrastructure for local authorities.

The commercial law firm attracted a number of new clients and 29 senior lateral hires, including eight partners, during the financial year.

The latest promotion round in May recognised six new Partners, a Legal Director, ten Senior Associates and 16 Associates.

Bevan Brittan’s Managing Partner Duncan Weir said: “We are pleased to report this year’s strong financial performance, in which we have achieved record-high revenue and twelve years of consecutive growth.  These results reflect the effectiveness of our long-term strategy, and the consistent efforts of our people to build a business that is both commercially successful and responsibly led.

“Exceptional firmwide collaboration underpins our shared commitment to deliver meaningful outcomes for our clients and shape a more sustainable and inclusive future.

“With continued investment in our people, core markets, client relationships and responsible business practices, we can expect to achieve our five-year revenue target next April and look forward with confidence.”
